Back in 2008 Kämmer was getting ready for his first-ever trip to New York City when he recored a mixtape called „How R U, NYC?“ which he refined after having returned from the States. This mixtape was once destined to be published by the website mondayjazz.com but for some reason that has never happened. It was over a year ago when Kämmer started to focus on contemporary African dance music, having in mind to do a mix out of his findings someday. So now, towards the end of August he delivers his traditional End of Summer Mix and dedicates it to music from bands like the cross-cultural Owiny Sigoma Band or Ethiopian outfit Ethiocolor, Tuareg groups like Tinariwen or Tamikrest, musicians like Ghanaian Ebo Taylor or Malian Issa Bagayogo, South African house legend Oskido or soundsystems like Paris-based Mawimbi – often refined by incredible producers and remixers from around the globe and meant for the dance floor.
